Edgewater and CMC announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for expanded technology sharing of Edgewater’s Spectrum Slicing technology for the next-generation, high density, Wi-Fi solutions. The goal of this agreement is to accelerate the commercialization of Edgewater’s Spectrum Slicing silicon solutions for use in IoT applications. [more]
Although, EQ reported that its revenue continued to be negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, revenue for Q2/2021, was $3.0 million, an increase of 74% when compared to $1.7 million in the same quarter a year ago, and slightly higher than our estimate of $2.98 million. [more]
The Energy sector has not performed well over the past ten years. One of the laggards in the last few years is Suncor. This can be attributed to its almost singular focus on its oil sands projects. But, Suncor is now seriously evaluating non-fossil fuels opportunities. If Suncor can break above the Chart’s declining down trend-line, this would be very favourable for the stock, with greater expectations for further appreciation. [more]
Revenue was down 20% year-over-year as COVID-19 sales bump eases. Moovly’s sales for the quarter were $0.30 million, a decrease of 20%, compared to $0.37 million in the same quarter a year ago, and lower than our estimate of $0.70 million. The cannabis company, Leafly Holdings has announced to go public in a SPAC deal with Merida Merger Corp. I, a company sponsored by Merida Capital Holdings. The deal is expected to raise up to $161.5M in cash and should help Leafly expand its business in newly legalized markets. [more]
WOW! recorded revenue of $18.8 million, up 25% from the previous quarter, and its fourth consecutive quarter of positive EBITDA. As of June 30, 2021, it had a backlog of $77.5 million with another $3.3 million of contracts signed after the quarter-end. Lightning eMotors, a leading supplier of specialty commercial electric vehicles for fleets, signed an $850 million strategic partnership deal with Forest River, a Berkshire Hathaway company and North America’s largest shuttle bus manufacturer.
