Top Ten Portfolio Drops 2.2% Last Two Weeks

One Addition to Portfolio Holdings

eResearch | The Top Ten Portfolio struggled a bit in the last two weeks, still reflecting its exposure to the volatile Canadian Energy Sector. Its two-week loss amounted to 2.2%, and its value, including dividends received, fell just below the $600,000 mark. We added CGI Group Inc. to the portfolio on January 30.

Portfolio Performance

The following table shows the performance of the Top Ten Portfolio since its Inception on January 1, 2019.  We include the basic portfolio and then provide the performance including dividends received to date. We show the same metrics for the S&P/TSX Composite Index.

The basic Top Ten Portfolio is up 5.7% compared to a lofty 23.3% for the Index. However, after adding in Dividends Received, the portfolio is ahead by 19.9% while the Index is slightly better at 26.6%.
