This year, I had the pleasure of sitting with my father, Edward G. Thompson, and Dr. Norman B. Keevil, Chairman Emeritus and Special Advisor to Teck Resources Limited (TSX: TECK.B), and a table full of Mining Hall of Fame inductees, including Maureen Jensen and Patricia (“Pat”) Dillon.

The Canadian Mining Hall of Fame welcomed three new members: Jim Cooney, Alexander John Davidson, and Douglas Balfour Silver.

The gala dinner and induction ceremony was held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at The Carlu in Toronto, Canada.

The Canadian Mining Hall of Fame inducted five new members on Thursday night at a great gala event: David Ross Bell, Ross D. Lawrence, John T. Postle, William E. Roscoe, and Eric Sprott.
