The Model Oil Portfolio, which was launched on June 3, 2019, is down 1.5% as at the end of July 2019. There are 9 stocks in the Portfolio, of which 5 are in positive territory and 4 are “under water”. The Energy Index is off 6.7% but the price of crude oil is up 9.0%. We are still holding over 47% cash and are in no hurry to commit more as the sector continues to be very volatile.
