Today’s Mystery Company seems most likely to be tiny Ilika PLC (IKA on the LSE and ILIKF on the US OTC). Ilika is a small R&D company that calls itself a solid state pioneer and developed about 15 years ago from some materials science work at the University of Southampton in England. It did some initial work with Sony and others on trying to make safer and non-flammable batteries by using a solid electrolyte instead of the liquid in Li-Ion batteries.
